The Oliver
Collection contains a considerable amount of material of potential interest to
local historians. Items listed in the accompanying pages represent a selection
of material in the Collection which is specifically about, or contains some
information relevant to, the history of local and neighbouring areas. So far
listings for Addlestone, Ashford,
Chertsey, Chobham, Egham, Englefield Green, Guildford, Laleham, Ottershaw, Shepperton, Staines, Stanwell, Sunbury, Surrey (General), Thorpe, Virginia Water and Woking have been provided. Similar selections of material
from the Collection for other relevant areas will be added to this section on
local history from time to time.
