This collection of reference material cannot replace the grey 1961 edition of Der Große Duden, Band 1 on my shelf, but it helps. Perhaps you discover some interesting material.

Encyclopedias and Dictionaries

The Oxford English Dictionary. In case you never heard of syzygies... The explanation of the more familiar word algebra reads "The department of mathematics which investigates the relations and properties of numbers by means of general symbols; and, in a more abstract sense, a calculus of symbols combining according to certain defined laws." Wow!
LEO English/German Dictionary. Very useful indeed.
English/Italian Dictionary. Have fun!
Encyclopedia presented by the Electric Library. Alternatively you can try Wikipedia. They help me remember who the Argonauts were.

Computer Aid

IT and Communication. A collection under the title "information technology and its utilization for communication". Half in english and half in finnish, by Jukka Korpela.
UNIX Man Pages. For quick glance.
Programming in C by A.D. Marshall. An introduction to the C Language. You may also want to visit the Learn C/C++ Today webpage.
GNU Emacs Manual. I do all my editing with Emacs. GNU provides a lot of other stuff.

Keyword LaTeX

DeTeXify. A nice applet.
The LaTeX Project. A universal source of information. Of particular interest is the (Not So) Short Introduction toLaTeX.
AMS-LaTeX. Resources from the AMerican Mathematical Society, in particular the amsmath user's guide and a second shorter manual.
Xy-pic. A package to include graphics.
MikTeX Website. A good starting point for installing LaTeX on a Windows operating system.
DANTE. German Depository for TeX Resources. Particularly useful is the section Fragen und Antworten.

Mathematical Computation

Pari. A software package for computer-aided number theory.
MAGMA. A computational algebra system.
GAP. Groups, Algorithms and Programming.
Singular. A computer algebra system for polynomial computations.
