Do you want to earn a £10 Amazon voucher for 15 minutes of fragging fun? Then read on..


All you need to do is signup by emailing you are interested in participating to quakestudy@daddied.com stating which time you prefer (see "I'm ready to signup"). We will reply to your email with a private channel name (on QuakeNet) which you will join on your chosen time. You will also receive a link to the map we will be using. There will be limited availability so sign up quickly.

On the day of the event join the private channel and wait for the go ahead to join the specified server. Have a blast playing QuakeWorld for 15 minutes. Take a screenshot any time during the game (you will be reminded). After the session message an 'op' of the channel your email address (to confirm you played) and we will send you a brief questionnaire¹ for you to fill out.

Once the questionnaire is filled out send it back with the screenshot (preferably in .jpg format) to quakestudy@daddied.com and after we've checked its validity we will email to you the Amazon voucher code! Please be assured your responses will remain confidential.

When?
Sunday 15th February 6pm and Sunday 15th February 9pm (times in GMT) - you decide when it is convenient for you. Note: you can only play once.

I'm ready to signup!
Send an email to quakestudy@daddied.com stating what time (either 6pm or 9pm) you wish to take part in and include your QuakeWorld alias. We will send an email back to you noting which channel to join on the day. Please note you will need an IRC client (mIRC is recommended) and the channel will be on the QuakeNet IRC network.

Requirements:
We require participants to set their QuakeWorld settings to the following settings:

    required software settings:
    d_mipcap 0
    d_mipscale 1

    required opengl settings (reconnect needed):
    gl_picmip 0
    gl_miptexlevel 0
    gl_max_size 1024

We also require participants to take a screenshot of the game environment (bind a key to "screenshot") mid-game and send it back with the completed questionnaire. If using fuhquake set sshot_format "jpg" prior to the game to save time.
