Untitled (Text/Sound Piece - work in progress)
A piece which is so much in progress that it doesn't even have a name yet. Words are buttons which change when clicked. Each word (except the conjunctions) triggers different radio source sounds, edited with sections of silence to stagger moments of sound. Extended manipulation of the buttons produces multiple texts and overlapping sonic voices.
This piece is large (8Mb) so please be patient while it loads. It's a first draft, so will be extended/tweaked. I will also try to get a new, better compressed version up when I have time.
Smells like chicken. |

Docile History (work in progress)
This work is being created using scans of old, found photographs about whose subjects nothing is known. Writing through various biographical texts, I have created a simplistic Flash animation and accompanying text for each movie, creating a false text around which the photographs find their context. There are currently four 1-minute pieces of what will eventually (hopefully) become a much larger DVD piece. These are online versions of the four completed parts.
Sounds grey. |

A Summer Celebration of Fever
A hypertext piece from 2003, documenting a tour of North America, driving with the band Giddy Motors. Images and text wrapped up in the aesthetic of the materials stuffed into our pockets.
GO THERE.

Version 1
A flash poem which uses animation to create textual effects which play with form and subsequently semantic meaning.
The PDF text to be read alongside this piece can be downloaded here.
This piece, along with A Short Story As I Like It, formed my MA dissertation, Procedures of Excess: Disgust and Remediation in Contemporary Poetics. The dissertation can be downloaded here.
